The IHP has established close links between mathematics and the general public, and now relies on a Committee for Mathematical Culture that gathers researchers, teachers and passionate science journalists. Their mission is to generate and improve mediation and diffusion projects related to scientific knowledge.
In this way, the Institute is instrumental in popularising mathematics through:
♦ General events dedicated to the discovery of mathematics.
♦ Original exhibitions: Évariste Galois, Henri Poincaré, Alan Turing, Joseph-Louis Lagrange…
♦ Conventions for high school and university students: cycle “One question, one researcher”, Mathematic park…
♦ Production of exclusive documentaries
♦ The promotion of its collection of mathematical models
♦ Partnerships and cooperation with various popularization organizations or with great national media
