Resurgence and irregular singular ODEs

The fascinating theory of resurgence introduced by Écalle, studies divergent power series in the complex domain. Among its different applications, it has been considered in the study of ODEs with irregular singularities. In this talk I will discuss some of the main aspects of resurgence theory, focusing in particular on the ones concerning formal solutions of irregular singular ODEs.
