Maryam Mirzakhani, Iranian mathematician, was the first woman to win a Fields Medal in 2014. She passed away in 2017.
Produced by the Centre international de rencontres mathématiques (CIRM) in Luminy, this major exhibition in her honour consists of two main parts: Mathematical Worlds of Maryam Mirzakhani, under the scientific direction of Anton Zorich, presents in English the key aspects of her mathematical work.
L'espace des formes, under the scientific direction of Jayadev Athreya, is aimed at those curious about her work on triangles, torus and surfaces.
These presentations are accompanied by a mini-comic entitled Mirzakhani, la mathématicienne, written and drawn by Johan Segura.
