Rooms & services

The institute has three amphitheatres, six classrooms and two meeting rooms. All rooms are equipped with chalkboards, audiovisual means and a Wi-Fi network. They are open for booking Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 6pm, and subject to special authorisation in the evenings and on Saturdays. A video recording service is also available for the amphitheatres.

Hosting any event has a cost for the institute, which must also regularly schedule maintenance and renovation operations for the spaces and equipment made available.

The rates include the provision of pre-installed spaces, furniture and equipment (default configuration); technical infrastructure and equipment (IT and audiovisual, traffic flows, building services such as lifts); the provision of technical and logistics staff; additional furniture and equipment on request; cleaning of spaces and common areas; and security requirements.

Free admission is traditionally granted to events open to the public and whose themes are related to those of the Institute (mathematics, theoretical physics and their interactions). Organisers of events supported by sufficient funding are invited not to apply for free admission, wherever possible. In any case, free admission will not be applied to meetings involving registration fees.

  • Audiovisual automatic recording with Omnilive system

    In its two amphitheaters, an automatic video recording system is available.
    On request, any organizer can obtain the system's launch code, and operate the video capture themselves.
