Original title: Jean Perrin, une oeuvre, un héritage
To mark the 150th anniversary of Jean Perrin's birth, the Institut Henri Poincaré is devoting an exhibition to the man who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1926 for having experimentally proven the existence of atoms.
Introduction
In addition to his scientific works, Jean Perrin's legacy is a vision of the organisation of research and the involvement of scientists in society, a drive and enthusiasm that still touches us today.
The exhibition takes up these themes:
- search
- understand
- innovate
- transmit and democratise knowledge
- make a commitment
and allows us to discover a man whose flamboyant personality shone far beyond the Curie campus.
