Original title: Émile Borel, un mathématicien au pluriel

Introduction

To mark the 100th anniversary of Emile Borel's admission to the Académie des sciences, IHP is organizing an exhibition to honour this multi-talented mathematician. The exhibition offers an insight into Borel's various scientific activities, his research in analysis and probability in dialogue with physics, his work as an editor and his involvement in education and the dissemination of scientific culture.
The exhibition was presented at IHP's library from 14 September 2021 to 25 February 2022. Free admission.

Technical details

The exhibition is composed of 13 forex panels measuring 120 cm high and 84 cm wide and weighing approximately 1 kg per panel. All the panels can be stored in a normal car.

The exhibition is also available in French, German, Italien, Spanish and Portuguese.
